Panthera Sleep Appliances

Panthera Dental

Watersedge Dental Laboratory is proud to offer the Panthera line of digitally manufactured sleep appliances to Ottawa-area dentists. Every Panthera device is 3D-printed from your patient’s own impressions or intraoral scans, producing a precise, lightweight, and durable appliance that arrives ready to use.

Panthera sleep appliances are part of our broader oral appliance therapy (OAT) offering, designed to help your patients manage snoring and mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), as well as bruxism and restoration protection. Whether you are new to prescribing sleep devices or a seasoned provider, our technical team is available to help you select the right appliance for each case, at no additional charge.

Panthera Sleep Products

Panthera Classic

The Panthera Classic is a custom-made Mandibular Advancement Device (MAD), 3D-printed in medical-grade PA2200 nylon. Its mono-material construction has no metal-acrylic junctions, which makes for a durable yet lightweight appliance.

Titration is managed through a Replaceable Rod Titration System. Rods ranging from 16 mm to 34 mm, in 0.5 mm increments, connect the upper and lower splints by way of anchors and triangles. This traction design lets you adjust the level of mandibular protrusion by simply swapping rods. Each appliance is custom-made from patient impressions and delivered ready to use, with no chairside adjustments required.

Panthera X3

The Panthera X3 is a custom-made Mandibular Advancement Device (MAD), 3D-printed in medical-grade PA2200 nylon. Like the Classic, it is mono-material with no metal components.

Its clip-on titration system uses clips that attach directly to the splints, providing a compression-based dorsal design that advances the mandible. Titration adjustments are made by changing clips, giving you a straightforward, tool-free process. Each appliance is custom-made from patient impressions and delivered ready to use, with no chairside adjustments required.

Panthera NightGuard Simple

The Panthera NightGuard Simple is a custom-made occlusal appliance, CAD/CAM-manufactured in medical-grade Nylon Polyamide Type 12. Its single-arch design, available in an upper or lower version, features no tissue contact and no palatal covering, which keeps it comfortable and low in bulk.

Each splint incorporates a full-arch flat plateau with a full lingual band and light labial overlap, delivering uniform occlusal load distribution with minimal vertical opening. The scalloped buccal finishing line and the absence of ramp guidance, combined with light contact on the molars, make it well suited to protecting teeth and restorations in patients with no teeth mobility on the opposite arch.

For patients suspected of having a sleep breathing disorder, or those presenting with a severe gag reflex or a Class III malocclusion, the lower splint version is recommended. Each appliance is custom-made from patient impressions or intraoral scans and delivered ready to use, requiring no or minimal chairside adjustments.

Why Order Panthera Through Watersedge

With decades of experience in sleep-related dental treatments, Watersedge has become one of the most respected providers of dental sleep devices in the Ottawa area. We combine the latest digital technologies with skilled craftsmanship and a proven quality assurance process, so every case meets a consistently high standard.

We use only high-quality, clinically tested materials, including safe, monomer-free resins for our 3D-printed devices. Production time for sleep appliances is seven days or less, and our quality assurance team is always available to talk through appliance options, treatment planning, or a specific case.

Clinical note: If your patient presents with sleep apnea, please confirm that a proper evaluation has been completed by medical professionals at a sleep clinic. Oral sleep appliances are designed to treat mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea, or to serve as an alternative for patients who are medically unable to tolerate a CPAP device. Severe cases of sleep apnea require the use of a CPAP device.
